Category Layout

The Category layout is responsible for handling the Store category pages behavior and display.

There are 2 places a Category page can be configured;

  1. From the Category layout under Catalog >> Preferences, this is the General Preferences where all categories will have the same behavior
  2. From the Category layout under Catalog >> Category >> Category edition page, this is the preference if you customize to behave each categories differently

Category layout looks like this;

  • Header section handles the behavior of the category header in the Category page (category description, name, etc..)
  • Carousel section handles the behavior of the product carousel under the Category page
  • Sub-categories section handles the behavior of the sub-categories under the Category page
  • Items Listing section handles the behavior of the items listed under the Category page
  • Vendors section handles the behavior of the vendor listing under the Category page
