What is a promotion?

Promotion is one of the best way to increase residual revenue in your marketplace. It allows store owners to create a series of promotional offers to their vendors which allow them to List their products to the top of the store listing for a certain duration with highlighted colors and backgrounds to get noticed.

There are two types of Promotion

Free Promotion: This is a good option for standard store owners who doesn't have a multi-vendor functionality. You can highlight and list some of your products to the top of the store listing.

Paid Promotion: This feature is best for multi-vendor users. It allows the store admin to setup a promotion which can be accessible only if the vendor is willing to pay to get listed to the top.

To setup a Promotion, please follow below simple guide;

If you are using Free Promotion proceed to Step 7.

Step 1— Create a subscription through jSubscription to handle the fees.
Step 2— From the subscription edit page, navigate to Subscription tab and assign a 'Credit Limit' type  and enter the credit value.

Credit Value: Define the amount of credit the vendor will receive.
Step 3— Click [Save] to save the changes.
Step 4— From the subscription listing, click "View Restriction" under the Restriction column.

Step 5— Create a restriction with a type of "Paid Promotion".

Step 6— Click [Save] to save the changes.

Step 7— From the admin panel, navigate to [any Joobi e-commerce] >> Catalog >> Promotion.
Step 8— From the promotion page, click New to create a Promotion.
Step 9— Fill in all the required fields, which are indicated by an asterisk (*). Most of the options obtain a tooltip that will help you explain its usage.

It is important to enter a Duration and Points value.

Duration: This will define how long the item will be listed as featured.
Points value: This define the listing fee of the promotion for paid promotion. Vendors can gain points from buying the subscription you created in Step 2.

Step 10— Click [Save] to save the changes.

The promotions are accessible by vendors during the Product creation under Attributes tab. If vendor's doesn't have enough credits to purchase the promotion, he/she will be redirected to a subscription page.

You can create unlimited number of promotions with may different styles as you want. The more promotion you can offer, the more money you can make.
