Setup an Affiliate Program
Setp 1 — Setup affiliate program
1. From the Admin panel, select Components -> jMarket -> Vendors -> Programs
2. From the Programs page, click New to create the Program
3. Fill in all the required fields, which are indicated by a red asterisk (*). Most of the options obtain a tooltip that will help you explain its usage.
The following should be setup to:
a. Program Level
b. Program Type: Affiliate
4. Click [ Save ] to save your changes.
Step 2 — Create a Joomla menu for your Affiliate Program
1. In the admin panel, Menus >> select which menu you want to create your Affiliate
2. In the Menu manager, click New >> Menu Item Type >> jAffiliates >> Program
3. Click [Save] to save the changes.
The image below shows a sample of the frontend view of an Affiliate program where the user can subscribe.
To test the process....
Step 1- The user will need to subscribe to your program.
Step 2- You need to make sure you create your frontend menu for "My Programs" so that users can view their affiliate number.
Step 3- Copy the Affiliate number and add it at the end to any of your website link.

The highlighted blue values are the affiliate number and you should always include jaffid= before your affiliate number. This series jaffid= can be changed to your own format in the jAffliates >> Preferences.
To better understand the idea, let's take an example;
Vendor V posted a product priced at $100.
1. User A ( Affiliate ) joins the site
2. User A refer User B a product from Vendor V
2. User B bought the product from Vendor V priced at $100
Below explanation are base on the Program level you selected.
If you use Level 1 Program...
Level 1
$100 paid by User B (Buyer)
- $10 Affiliate commission for User A (Affiliate)
$80 Remaining earning for the Seller.
*The commission Affiliate is calculated first and then the Vendor commision is calculated with what is left from level 1 if you have vendor commission available.
Level 2 Program if you have Vendor commission...
Level 2
$80 Remaining from Level 1
- $72 90% for Vendor V from sale(Vendor)
$8 10% Commission from Sale ( Store Admin )
To automatically transfer payments from buyer to affiliate, vendor and admin, you can use Paypal Parellel Payments.
Create a Banner
1. From the Admin panel, select Components >> jAffiliates >> Programs >> Banners
2. From the Banners page, click New to create the Program
3. Fill in all the required fields, which are indicated by a red asterisk (*). Most of the options obtain a tooltip that will help you explain its usage.
4. Upload your banner image and Click [ Save ] to save your changes.
