Stripe split payments? #44QZBF-1OCY

Stripe split payments?
Status:
Solved
ID:

I am trying to setup and test split payments for subscriptions with Stripe connect. The documentation says that the only thing I can use is Paypal Adaptive but this seems like old documentation. Can I use Strip connect to split payments between two accounts?
Also, I can't find out how to setup this up anywhere. I have followed what I could find and tried testing it but the service fee was never added and therefore never split. Can I get some step-by-step instructions for this.
I setup membership sites for my clients. My clients want to pay me with a service charge added to the monthly subscription rate. So let's say a subscription is $40 and the service fee is $2.28, the client would have $40 deposited into their stripe account and the $2.28 would go into mine and the member would be charged 42.28 with one charge.
Thank you,
Jason

Hello Jason Brinn,
One of the Joobi user paid for Stripe connect similar to paypal adaptive. We have included it in the jApps 3 release but it is not fully finished, the customer who paid for it is still testing everything in her end.
This is why there is no documentation for it at the moment since it is not finalized yet. We hope to finalize it this week or the week after as soon we get the feedback from the customer.

To setup stripe:
You need to provide secret key, public key (publishable), client_id.
Client id: https://nimbus.everhelper.me/client/notes/share/655003/5ym2bdwh65iys24gqirt
The vendor has to provide their stripe account and there will be an interface to ask them to confirm their accounts in the vendor area.

Regarding your question:
You want that each susbcription sold, you have a percentage that goes to your account. Who is the vendor of the subscription and the store manager?
The money always goes to the store manager (commission) and remaining amount to the vendor.
If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help. And have a fantastic day!
Kind Regards,
Auguste

Thanks Auguste,
I am the Vendor and my client would be considered the Store Manager. I setup membership sites for my clients so the website is theirs and the site members are subscribing to my clients website. Everyone wants to pay me automatically and have the payment split.
I have never done this and was wondering if you know someone that is using this method and its working. Should I wait for Stripe? I like Stripe because the member doesn't have to leave the site to make the payment.
Last, is it best to have the Stripe payment to open a new "stripe" window or should it be seamless on the site? Right now it seems that this feature is setup to open a new tab.
Thank you,
Jason
