Smart newsletter not picking up all articles #O6YK3-VQD

Smart newsletter not picking up all articles
Status:
Solved
ID:

Hi
I've got Acajoom running on my website www.hellfins.com to send all articles added to a number of sections out to a subscribers list. This works most of the time but occasionally doesn't send the newsletter. I can't see any difference between the articles that are sent out and those that aren't.
The process when an article is submitted is:
1) Author submits an article.
2) Article is e-mailed to Administrators for approval. The e-mail contains a link that runs a small script that sets the item to published status.
3) Article should then be sent out in the next Acajoom run (this is once an hour).
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Sorry I can't give any more info.
Thanks for the advice
Mike

Hi Michael,
May I know what specific version of Acajoom you are using?
The process of creation or generation of smartnewsletters depend on the frequency you've set on your smartnewsletter list, the next generation of smartnewsletter can be seen in the next genrated date field, so when the said date comes it will try to generate a smartnewsletter if ever there are updates in the category or section selected in the smartnewsletter list. The generated smartnewsletter can then be found in the smartnewsletter list with a scheduled icon, the next cron will then trigger the smartnewsletter and change the icon of the smartnewsletter to unpublish, meaning it is already sent.
If you can give a temporary back end access that would make it easier to test and troubleshoot.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
kon

I've discovered the issue. It's a bug in the mailonsubmit component where it doesn't set the published date and time field. I've corrected this now and it's working perfectly again.
