You can assign child sub-category to multiple parent categories.

An example of how this would be useful:

You have two parent categories called

  1. Mens
  2. Women's

Both Mens and Women's has a lot of the same subcategories: Clothing, Shoes, Pants, Socks ect...

So rather than creating repetitive categories, you only need to create one and assign a parent category for it. Then the sub-category will appear to the parent category listing where you can browse products that are assigned to it.

  • From the admin panel, navigate to [any Joobi eCommerce] >> Catalog >> Preferences
  • From the preferences page, go to Category Tab
  • Under Multiple Categories section, set Allow Multiple Parent to Yes
  • Click save once you are done
