One page checkout displays the checkout forms on a single page which is proven to help increase your revenue and reduce cart abandonment.

One page checkout is activated by default for all new installation. If you are an existing user with a Standard Step Checkout process, you have to activate One Package checkout by hand.

  • From the admin panel, go to [any Joobi eCommerce] > Orders > Cart Preferences
  • Under Checkout Flow, enable One Page Checkout
  • Select the Column number for your one page checkout display

Note: 2 or 3 Column layouts are perfect if you are using a full-width template without a sidebar, otherwise if the page is way too small it will automatically resize.

  • Click [Save] to save your changes.

Warning for users who were using the previous checkout process:

If you want to use the new One Page Checkout, you have to do the following:

  1. Turn ON the Legacy option, Orders > Cart Preferences > Legacy > Use New Cart > Yes
  2. You have to use the new Joobi Cart module

Customize One Page Checkout Page Layout

You can customize the view for the one page checkout page if you want it to display differently.

  • From the admin panel, go to jApps > Design > Views
  • Search for the term 'cart'
  • Locate the view with an 'Identifier" > cart_onepage
  • Click "Elements" to see the list of elements
  • You can add,edit or disable any elements
  • Click [Save] to save your changes

Reminder: It is advisable to check the frontend result every-time you make a change in the elements to make sure that the single checkout page is still working. In the event that the page is broken due to not properly customized elements, Joobi support will restore the views to default.

Customize One Page Checkout Design

You can customize the look and feel of the checkout page to fit your brand.

  • From the admin panel, go to jApps > Tools >Themes
  • Clone the "Public Site" theme "Joomla 3.2 Responsive Theme or the WordPress theme for WordPress users.
  • Go to your FTP and locate the cart files

root/joobi/user/theme/site/[your-clone-theme]/node/basket

Reminder: Avoid customizing directly the core files to preserved your code during update.
