jContacts handles the user registration and login of Joobi applications.

Requirements

You need jContacts to be able to use the user management feature and registration.

Menus

  • From the admin panel, navigate to Joomla menus >> create New menu
  • Select menu Item Type and click save once you are done
Note: You do not need to use jContacts for your website registration. You can use any Joomla registration to fit your purpose.

These are the available menu item type:

Edit User: The place where user can edit their profile.
Login: This is the page to show login form
Login and Registration: This page shows both login and registration form in one page
Register: This page shows the registration form page where user registers in your site
User Dashboard: This is the dashboard of the user where they can manage their profile, orders, coupon, subscription, etc..

You can configure the user and registration preference by going through jApps >> Preferences >> Users tab

Note: If you want to use jContacts to handle user registration, please select Conctacts as user management under General section.

Contacts

This area lists all your contacts either registered to your site or not. You can see easily get information about how your visitors come to the web site. See when search engine robots come to index your site and what pages they read.

  • From the admin panel, navigate to jContacts >> Contacts
  • Click "New" button from the top navigation
  • Fill in your contact details
  • Click save once you are done

You can do the following:

  • You can create new contacts
  • Add tags
  • Add note
  • Add organization

From the contact profile page, you can see the following:

  • Contact Name
  • Email
  • Title, Department
  • Country
  • Last edited date
  • Contact IP
  • TimeZone
  • Mobile Phone, Fax, Phone
  • Social (Skype ID, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)

Activity

  • IP Adress
  • Pages Visited
  • Time of visit
  • Duration

Integrated with other Joobi products.

You can see the following:

  • Orders if the contact bought one of your products
  • Subscription if the contact bought a subscription
  • Tickets if contact submitted any tickets

Organization

Organization represents a company that has multiple employees associated with it. Contacts can be directly related to an Organization record.

  • From the admin panel, navigate to jContacts >> Organization
  • Click "New" button from the top navigation
  • Fill in your organization details
  • Click save once you are done
